As shown in the attached photo, some laws were recently amended on April 14, 2017 to allow family members (such as parents of marriage immigrants) (F-1-5) to change to a short-term employment (C-4) visa and work for 90 days .

The countrysides are now introducing seasonal workers by identifying rural workers.
Until now, they recruited a short-term visa (C-4) for entry into Korea or recruit seasonal workers in a sisterhood relationship city.
So far, local governments have recruited and used these two methods
Now one more thing to do with these two methods.
1. Recruitment of workers in sisterhood relationship city
2. Recruitment of C-4 visa
3. Family of married immigrants (F-1-5) to C-4
So every region in Korea will choose one of the above three methods to recruit seasonal workers.
However, as a result of confirmation, there are no region that have selected 3 times yet.
In other words, if each city chooses 3 methods then those who have an F-1-5 visa can apply for a C-4 visa for 90 days, but there is no city that has chosen such a method yet.
In the future, there is a possibility to choose.

"It is a fact that many F-1-5 residents are actually working in rural areas. and they are doing very well with good job, and their employer's satisfaction is very high. No Korean young or foreigner wants to work in the countryside. In such a rural situation, work permits for agriculture of residents of F-1-5 will be a very reasonable system.
If you develop this system and legitimately nurture illegal employment. t will be a desirable system that satisfies both employers and foreign workers' families." GMK suggested.
